Keep an eye out for the orangutan, Sumatran tiger, rhinoceros, horn bill, cassowary, and Sumatran rhino!

Strategize, Be Expedient, Yet Cautious Race into the rain forest and start growing your jungle! Your mission is to cover those tiles as quickly as possible—but beware…don’t bungle in the jungle! One wrong move could leave you with negative points, so speed and strategy must work hand in hand.
As your rain forest comes to life, your flowers must connect across the four double-sided game tiles. Plant them side by side, build them upward, and create a flourishing jungle—but keep those flowers touching or stacked!
And here’s where the real jungle magic begins! You’re not limited to placing flowers next to one another—you can overlap them, too! When you place one flower directly on top of a matching flower, something extraordinary happens: a tree grows!
Keep planting, stacking, overlapping, and expanding your rain forest. The faster and smarter you build, the more impressive your jungle becomes. But remember: in HUTAN, every flower counts, every tree matters, and one careless move could have you bungling in the jungle!

Consumer Hands-On Evaluation
HUTAN presented a unique twist during our consumer hands-on evaluation. Our evaluation participants discovered that unlike most games, their journey into the rain forest begins before their first move is even made!
They found that players must first carefully punch out the various component sheets and prepare the pieces that will bring their jungle environment to life. Once freed from their sheets, the trees require assembly—turning a collection of components into the beginnings of a lush rain forest ecosystem.
But the jungle adventure doesn't stop there! Players must also punch out the Play tiles and assemble the additional components for the game box, following the instructions provided.
This hands-on preparation adds another dimension to the HUTAN experience. You're not simply opening a game and starting to play—you are building your jungle before you explore it! With every tree assembled and every Play tile prepared, your rain forest adventure gets one step closer to coming alive.
